Steel fabrication projects – March 2016

  • steel bridge stays
  • steel grain hopper

We’re having a busy year so far, with lots of steel fabrication and engineering projects completed for Nottinghamshire businesses. Here are details of two recent jobs:

Bridge stays

We work closely with a local company S P Rose Ltd who carry out all kinds of groundworks and maintenance for local councils. Part of this work is the replacement and refurbishment of footbridges around Notts. As well as new bridges we are also involved with upgrades and modifications to existing bridges as shown in this picture.

The current bridge had very little bracing and because of this the sides were moving and causing the floor planks to move and snap. To overcome this issue we designed and fabricated this steel bolt-on diagonal bracing kit that could easily be fitted on site.

Steel waste hopper

This mobile waste hopper was designed and made for a grain cleaning plant in Nottinghamshire. We have been involved with this customer since the start of their installation carrying out bespoke steel fabrication work such as platforms, ducting and drip trays. These were all items that were not available off the shelf.
