Chatham Court Bike Shelter Security Upgrades

Working closely with Newark & Sherwood District council we have recently been involved (albeit a very small role!) as part of the the Safer Streets project, led by Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Paddy Tipping to crack down on burglary, vehicle crime and cycle theft.

The PCC secured funding from the Home Office’s Safer Streets Fund in July 2020 and part of the funds have recently been utilized to improve the lives of people living in the Chatham Court area of Newark.

Using the existing bike storage area, which residents were reluctant to use as they felt their property wasn’t safe, we improved the current design and fabricated individual stalls which all had separate lockable gates on, meaning no one else could access the property inside.

We specialise in custom steel fabrication to help make your business safer and more efficient. When off the shelf items are not suitable Yates Engineering can design, fabricate and install bespoke metalwork.
