Merry Christmas from Yates Engineering

On Friday, it was our annual Christmas get together at The Red Lion in Thurgarton . It was lovely to catch up and take some team photos. We enjoyed turkey and stuffing cobs with chips, along with a few drinks to get us feeling festive .

The evening was a bit of a learning curve for some of us – we were introduced to a drinking game called ‘Splitting the G’ – thought to have originated as a traditional pub game in Ireland ! Those playing, attempt to take a single, precise gulp of a pint of Guinness so that when the glass is placed back down on the table, the surface of the dark stout liquid perfectly aligns with the horizontal bar in the middle of the ‘G’ in the Guinness logo printed on the glass. Our Engineers had clearly had some practice , as the first demonstration was pretty much spot on !

As we wrap up another year, we reflect on the achievements we’ve reached in 2025, alongside our wonderful customers. We really appreciate your ongoing support and trust. The team here at Yates Engineering would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We will be closing today and reopening on Monday 5th January 2026 – we look forward to working with you all again next year .
